The California club have made progress in their recent talks with the 33-year-old, according to L'Equipe. Griezmann is available at a paltry €10 million (£8m/$11m) this summer due to a clause in his contract with Atletico Madrid, where he has one year left to run on his deal amid reports the club will not offer him an extension.

The attacker has been open about his desire to play in MLS before he brings an end to his career, making a move this summer a real possibility.
